RING THE BELL COMPAIGN

March every year KCBRP join the Liliane Fonds (LF) and other Strategic partner organisations (SPOs) of the LF across the world in the ‘We Ring the Bell Campaign’ for education of children with disabilities. The one minute campaign code is named ‘We ring the Bell’ is done with the aim to raise awareness in schools and to local school authorities, policy makers etc on the rights of children with disabilities to education.

 

In the 2019, the campaign aimed to; advocate for Improve school infrastructures such as Classrooms, rams, toilets and sport grounds for friendly accessibility for inclusion education with facts.

2019 RING THE BELL ACHIEVEMENT

  • 3,400 school children participated in 2018—2019 ring the bell event
  • 26 primary schools reached
  • 23 political and community leaders participated in the ring the bell campaign
  • 7 radio sessions were conducted
  • 3 TV jingo’s were aired
  • 85 individuals signed the manifesto
  • 15 non profit organizations signed the manifesto

WE RING THE BELL TRAJECTORY

From 2020, KCBRP will treat Inclusive Education Ring the Bell as a Trajectory and not a 1 day event. This is established as a Multi-Annual Programme in line with Advocacy Goals and Objectives in the KCBRP’s Strategic Plan whereby Eight (8) POs in the network will be engaged.
